WHERE DID IT ALL STARTED
In a life of a photographer and i am not talking just the professionals but every person that is interested in photography such as me or really anybody taking photos we all get to the point when we get even more satisfaction from our hobby if we see our photographs printed. In the day and age we are living it is not difficult to have our photos printed on any type of media but what we usually get is pretty basic.
BEING THAT CANON GUY
Me myself i have purchased my first photo printer hmm let me think. it must have been around the year 2006 maybe 2007 and even though my primarily camera brand them days was either SONY or OLYMPYS i have always trusted the CANON since they was always big in photography area. So my first photo printer was CANON PIXIMA ... not remembering the series but i have to say i was happy with it. When i transferred to the Canon camera over the years i have always gone for the Canon Pixima printers. Never complained as what i was printing was Decent quality and i was happy with my prints. Stability of the inks well that was something else . . . The only downside to these printers was always the price of the inks and the quantity of the photos i was able to print. You do have to do your research prior to buying a new printer.
DISCOVERING EPSON
The end of the year 2019 and i have got really fed up with the amount of money i was spending on replacement inks. Or lets put it this way it was not good to pay more for the set of inks then for a brand new printer so after doing a little research i have decided to invest into a different brand. EPSON it was one of the ECO TANK printers. It was for a very first time i was buying printer that was over 3 times the price of the las Canon printer i had purchased. Well it has come with gigantic bottles of ink included so i was hoping it will last a bit longer. And what a surprise. over 9 months into printing almost 1000 pages of patterns and manuals printed so far and about 60 FULL A4 photos in the highest quality printed and the amount of ink that has left my ink tanks is almost non existent. Well TBH you can see it going but so far less than one quarter of the tank of each colour is gone so not bad !!! Also the full set of inks is less than the inks i had to buy previously for my Canon Pixima printers.
THE QUALITY
Although i was always happy with the Canon printers and the quality of Photographs i was able to print at home the new printer have surprised me. It was like when you going from old TV to a Ultra HD tv. I was instantly able to see the difference. The resolution of the prints was higher than my last printer so once i was holding the printed Image i felt happier. The photos was coming out sharper with more detail and i started to print more and more. Do not take this as an advertisement as i am happy with anything CANON but the EPSON has changed my life. Up to this day i am printing and printing and enjoying the efficiency of the EcoTank printers.
And it does look like i will be sticking with epson for some time since i have soooo much ink left :). Do not forget this is my little printing experience and this is not promoting the brands i am currently using. There is so much to discover in the printing world and i am just a home printing enthusiast so If you decide to go and buy your first or maybe next printer please do your research. There is printer ready for you no matter what level of skill you have and what ever size you are wanting to print.
In next post i will go bit closer to my prints and i will talk about company that have changed my opinion on home printing.
Hope you enjoyed reading and do not forget DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.
