Little bit about me

  WELL HELLOO WORLD 

My name is Branislav 

I am Photography enthusiast. I was Born in Slovakia where i spend my childhood and well the first 2 full decades of my life. My little photography journey started about 33 years ago when i was about 4 years old and i have been playing around with my family camera. It was some sort of old Russian rangefinder. Do not honestly remember the make but i know it has not lasted alive for a long time after i have discovered it in the document draw in our living room. Yeah. I used to love to play with it and the amount of Film i have destroyed by opening the back door was just unbelievable. No matter how many cameras there has been in my family i was always interested in them and in how does it all work but having to use the film it was not the cheapest way to start. Never mind i have still managed to shot few well more than few frames. 

Then it was just learning and trying to understand how and what and the ISO the APERTURE and SPEED until i was about 14 years old. When my Brother finished the University and got his Degree my Parents decided to buy him a gift which i will never forget. His first Digital Camera. It was SONY Cybershot. I remember it has had 3 times built in optical zoom an the 3.2 Megapixel resolution. Let me tell you something it was extremely modern piece of kit and for the day it was more expensive the you can imagine. That was the time where i could finally release the my inner photographer. Not having to worry about rolls of film which was not cheap to develop them days back in Slovakia i started getting more and more into photography.

After years of learning and trying and developing that guy with the camera and of course hard work i was able to buy myself my first DSLR Camera which i will never forget. it Was OLYMPUS E-500 and after taking a Loan i have managed to buy 2 more lenses apart from the one that come with the body of the camera. Years have passed and i have spend them living and travelling with my olympus. 11 years ago i have made decision to make a new start somewhere else and my Destiny has took me to Sheffield. The little big Steel city in United Kingdom. This City has become my second Home. While living, working, and learning new things in a completely strange world to me My camera was always with me. Photography become even more important for me. It has become something  that helped me to comunicate with others, something that helped me so much in developing my second Language. 

Years have passed and Sheffield was Growing on me more and more. My life has changed completely and it was finally time for me to start thinking of upgrading my gear. After diving deep into the specs sheets and reviews i have entered a whole new world for me. 

I HAVE BECOME A CANON USER

I will never Forget getting the box and opening my first CANON camera. and of course after years of learning film photography i have started with Canons very best at that very time the Famous 5D Mark 2 the equivalent to the 35 mm film format. And let me be honest about it I COULD NOT GO ANY BETTER !!!

THE OBSESSION HAS STARTED

Of course as many types of photography i have discovered that many new types of accessories i had to buy to feed the thirst for new things, well i did not have to do it but i wanted to. Up to this this very day this obsession has not changed a bit. Just the fact that current new cameras and lenses are kind of becoming unreachable due to the price range that is commonly over the enthusiasts budget. Also the Companies are not making it any easier by releasing several lines of cameras and accessories several time a year. I am currently using the Latest version of Canons 5D line an as Far as i can See i will be Staying with my current SetUp ... I have to admit that i am sort of going back to my early years and i have started collecting the film Cameras and started shooting on film more and more. Apart from the collection of digital Bodies and lenses i have up to this day collected somewhere around 60 film cameras  and shoot on various types of film. Also over the past 11 years living here in the UK Little shy Branislav become BR1AN and being shouted and pointed at as "you know", "that guy with the camera" this has become the way people now can see me on my slowly growing social media sites. so If you are interested in seeing some of my work just search for @br1anthatguywiththecamera on either Facebook or Instagram.
